Julie White, BS, Mental Health Counselor Intern

Mental Heath Counselor Intern

Hello potential client! My name is Julie, I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor intern working on my master’s degree from Hodges University. I am under the direct clinical supervision of Janean Byrne who is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida #MH15525. Life can be difficult, perplexing, and confounding. Therapy helps ease the pain, makes sense of things, and gives unpleasant circumstances new meaning. Even in the face of difficulty, the outcome is serenity. Whether you have gone through a traumatic experience or are dealing with unmanageable anxiety or depression, I believe that it is possible to heal from whatever struggles you bring into our session.

I take a person-centered, strengths-based, humanistic approach to therapy. I am devoted to utilizing a collaborative and compassionate approach to counseling in an effort to foster hope, healing, and resilience. My goal is to create an open and safe environment for my clients where their thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Together we will build strategies and skills while working on specific needs toward managing difficult life situations that will help you recognize your own strengths.

I have had my own experience in a therapy setting and I know how difficult it is to reach out for help. Taking the first step toward therapy may be the most difficult decision to make, but could be a life-changing one. I look forward to helping you free yourself from disabling thoughts and feelings so you can live a happier and more fulfilling life.
