Throughout her professional career, Sivia Castro has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. Sivia has experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting and who have struggled with substance abuse issues. Furthermore, she has worked with victims of domestic violence. Sivia has spent the last three years working with the Latino/a and migrant population in the SWFL community. Currently, she works as a disaster recovery case manager helping those who have been affected by the pandemic.
Sivia Castro has earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University located in Fort Myers, Florida. She is in the end stages of achieving her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sivia has been trained in lifespan development, psychosocial and cross-cultural counseling, career development, and counseling theories and techniques. She has also received training in Mental Health First Aid and Disaster Case Management. Sivia is under the direct clinical supervision of Janean Byrne, who is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida #MH15525. Sivia Castro is also fluent in English and Spanish languages.
